There is nothing worse than arriving and after collecting your luggage only having to queue at the rental desk or queue for the bus provided by the off airport companies and then queue again at their rental desk, which is why we have maintained our service of 
1 on 1 meet and greet service.

We do not charge for fuel we just ask the same amount is returned.

There are no hidden costs.  
We keep everything transparent so our prices include collision damage waiver and tax
Local personnel to deal with any unforeseen circumstance while renting a car

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The price includes:
  • Unlimited mileage
  • Collision damage waiver
  • 2 drivers
  • Airport charges
  • Tax IVA (VAT) 21%.
  • 24 hours road assistance

  • We do not charge.
  • We do not charge for checking it on return.
  • It is not included in the price.
  • We do not seek to profit from the above but ask you to replace what you use.

Not included in the price:
  • 3rd driver and any additional drivers 10 € per day
  • Traffic fines, towing and duration the car is impounded.
  • We accept returns 1 hour before or after the contract time without additional charges. Earlier returns are 3 € per hour (to cover airport parking fees) and for late returns - after 1 hour - you will be charged an extra day. If necessary you may be charged for providing replacement transport to incoming clients. If returned earlier or later than stated on the contract Dragons word will stand should there be any damage.

Late and Early flights has an additional charge.
a) 50 € if the car is delivered from 21.00 hrs to 08.00 hrs.
b) 20 € cars returned between 21.00hrs to 08.00 hrs.

These optional items must be pre booked: 
(compulsory for ALL children under 1.35 m / 4`5 f)
  • Baby seat 5 € day, maximum 30 € per rental.  
  • Booster seat 2 € per day, maximum price 10€ per rental 
  • Maxi Cosy 10 € per day maximum price 40 € per rental.
All seats are fitted to the cars seatbelt and NOT with ISO fix.
It is up to the parents to make sure the seat is fitted correctly, but staff can help but take no responsibility
As seats be going out to another client we ask that the seats are returned clean.
Any cleaning of the seats will be charged to the client. 
 
Please bring your own removable items such as head rests and padded seat belt protectors.

PLEASE READ IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
On arrival at the car park as per the Spanish government ruling, masks must be worn at all times when the 1.50m of social distancing is not possible therefore we ask you to please wear your mask during this transaction.   If the police are in view they could fine each person not wearing a mask 100 euros.
When possible please bring a pen for minimum contact between client and staff, if you do not have a pen one will be provided for you.


Insurance:
  • We offer full insurance with an excess of between 1500 € to 2000 € depending on the vehicle type.
  • You can either reduce the excess to zero with Dragon Cars by paying an extra fee or arrange your own cover.
Insurance with ZERO excess does not cover:
  • Valeting of vehicles returned in an unfit state for re-renting.
  • Parking fines, speeding fines or towing of the vehicle
  • Filling the vehicle with the wrong fuel. 
  • Punctures (in the event of a puncture it is the clients responsibility to change the wheel and fix/replace the damaged tire, if you have taken out the full insurance cover with Dragon cars we will refund the cost but only when presented with the garage invoice in the name of Malaga Car Sales S.L with the this number B93465623). 
  • Rims if driving on punctured tire (Dragoncars will not cover this if you have taken our full insurance).  
  • Stains/rips/burns/damage to the interior.
  • Baby seats are not covered for loss, theft, damage or stains.
  • Interior accessories such as keys, jack, brace, paper work, warning triangle & safety jacket. 
  • Unauthorized drivers, insurance will be nil and void.
  • More passengers than the number of seat belts.
  • Vehicles can not be sub-let or used for transport of goods and the seats must not be removed from the vehicle.
  • Undercarriage, sills 
  • Towing or mechanical defect caused by the driver.
  • Driving off road (un asphalted) | dangerously | racing | illegal manoeuvres | out side of Andalucia, under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other similar substance, insurance will be nil and void.
  •  A charge of 25,00 € per hour will be made for call outs due to negligence of client.
At collection - the hirer must:
  • Be at least 23 to drive for cars with 5 seats and 25 for other vehicles.
  • Possess a driving license obtained at least 2 years prior.
  • Show a valid passport or identity card.
  • Present a Visa or MasterCard credit card regardless of the form of payment. Debit and Electron cards are not accepted. The cardholder must be on the rental contract as a driver 

Other important stuff: 
  • Our published tariffs can be modified at any time without notice but this will not affect confirmed reservations unless there is a change to tax rate. 
  • We do NOT offer any refund on early returns.
  • We reserve the right to deliver a similar or superior vehicle and may in some circumstance sublet from another local company offering the same terms and conditions. If any problems arise Dragon Cars will help in any way but the final decision will be between the leaser and the car hire company providing the vehicle.
  • Cars can be driven only to Gibraltar at no additional charge. 
  • Clients are not allowed to drive out side Andalucia or to other foreign countries.

EXCESS INSURANCE
  • If your vehicle interior or exterior gets damaged, involved in an accident or even stolen, the ‘Excess’ is the amount of money that you have to pay to cover the cost of the repair to your own vehicle. For example: if you have an excess of 1500 euros, you damage the vehicle and the cost of repair is 2000 euros - you pay 1500 euros towards the cost of the repair.
We offer hire prices with an excess and an optional excess waiver.
  • Cars with 5 seats 1500 euros: You can waiver the excess at 70 euros for up to 7 days, or 100 euros for up to 14 days, more than 15 days must take out online insurance.
  • More than 5 seats 2000 euros: You can waiver the excess for 150 euros for up to 7 days or 200 euros for up to 14 days, more than 15 days must take out online insurance.
Does the insurance cover tyres, glass and undercarriage?
Yes - although the standard insurance excess is 1500 euros.
The undercarriage is not included if you take the vehicle off road and damage it on stone, rocks or tree stubbs.  

Can I pay extra to waive the excess?
Yes - for 70 euros a week for a car, or 150 euros for a mini bus, you can waive the excess.  
If you search for car hire insurance you will find may different ones online.
It is the client’s responsibility to check their terms and conditions, these companies offer excess waiver insurance at low rates. If you have a claim you will have to pay the excess to Dragon Car Hire before you return your vehicle then make a claim from your insurance policy. We cannot accept responsibility if your insurance providers will not pay out. An administration fee of 30 euros will be charged for each request for claim related documents. If taking out your own insurance to cover the excess be fully aware of what cover you are taking and if they have any items that the insurance does not cover eg. punctures, towing or even putting the wrong fuel in the vehicle.

Companies offering ZERO EXCESS often have a list of items that are not covered and charge an extra daily insurance to cover these items. If you do not take out their extra insurance you are obliged to leave a large deposit which they refund after you return home.

Please make sure when taking out an online insurance that you take out the correct one for the larger vehicles. Some companies such as Insurance4carhire and Icarhire seem to hide the fact that they categorise vehicles with 9 seats as vans even though their website states that for vehicles with more than 9 seats you need another type of insurance.

We cannot accept responsibility if your insurance providers will not pay out. If taking out your own insurance to cover the excess be fully aware of what cover you are taking and if they have any items that the insurance does not cover eg. punctures, towing or even putting the wrong fuel in the vehicle.

Are you really the best value?
Yes. Be wary of companies that advertise low headline rates and then either pressurise you to take their own extra damage insurance, or make you pay a large (around 600 €) deposit from your credit card. 
Trip Advisor has too many reports that people experience long delays for the return of deposits, or inflated post rental charges for suspect damage.

What is your fuel policy?
You only pay for the amount you use. We provide the vehicle with a 1/4 o 1/2 tank and ask that you make every effort to return it with the same. We recognise that sometimes circumstances dictate that's not possible, therefore we do not charge excessive prices, just a flat fee of 20 € plus the cost at pump prices. We do not charge to check the car on your return.

Can I take the vehicle to Gibraltar?
Vehicles can be driven only to Gibraltar at no additional charge. 

Can I take the vehicle to Portugal?
Vehicles is not allowed to be drive out side Andalucia or to other foreign countries.

    If you are fed up (like we were) of enormous queues and getting stung for fuel and insurance so that car deal doesn't seem like such a good deal anymore then I can recommend dragon car hire. You pick your car up from the airport car park (they give you the location / bay) and sign the paperwork and you are off. Return fuel as you find it (pretty empty so that's the first job!). They also point you to a number of websites where you can buy your own excess waiver insurance if you want it for £40 per annum. Saves the ridiculous 100+ euros on that. Flexible on number of drivers. You return to same place. Much less hassle. It can be a bit of a walk to the parking bay, but still much quicker than getting a bus offsite etc. run by Brits. We have booked again after our experience this year.

    Amazing service Dragon Car Hire! It was lovely to meet the faces behind this UK family run business. Last year was fantastic, so only one choice again this year, and you surpassed yourselves. How did we book the wrong day?? I can only say excitement, but even though it was our mistake, to have a car there within 45 mins when you weren't expecting us, life savers. No queuing for hours, call any time with a query and answered right away. Cusomer service, quality of cars and value for money all big ticks from us. Recommended you to a work colleague who availed of Dragon Car Hire in May and they were very happy. We will definitely be in touch again for next year, and we will check the date first!!     I have just used Dragon Car hire for the third time. I wouldn't dream of using anyone else.

    I walk past the queues of people at the car hire desks in the airport, all waiting for their hidden charges to be revealed!

    The service is great, good value and above all simple. Just book online and when you arrive the car is waiting for you at the airport. No hidden charges, no small print. When your finished just drop the car where you picked it up. If you're a bit early or a bit late, no problem. It could not be easier.

    I personally recommend them to anyone who'll listen. Excellent service.

    Just returned from another couple of weeks around Malaga area. This is the third time we have used Dragon Cars and we honestly would not go anywhere else now. Each time I do my searches and find that Dragon Cars still works out best value. The car is in the airport for your arrival and you drop it in the airport when you depart. They don't try to sell you exoribitanly priced excess insurance cover and are happy to accept your online policy which cost a fraction of the price of other hire companies.

    I have used Dragoncar hire and they are brilliant. No nonsense on fuel or insurance. They have the car ready and nothing is too much trouble. I have spoken to friends who complained they waited in an hour. Not only are these guys a lot less than the usual car hire people they genuinely want to make your life easy. They have the car ready on adjacent car park and 5 minutes you are on your way. It makes a lovely start to your holiday. Would highly recommend and they are also from Wales UK. If you read a bad review on these guys its from someone who likes to moan about nothing. These guys are ace

    Dragon Cars is a reliable option in my opinion. You can rest assure that you will get exactly what’s written in the rental contract. The car is brought to you at the parking lot right in front of the arrivals terminal, at Malaga airport and after signing the contract you can start your journey through Andalusia. Tina and her husband are wonderful people eager to help with any problem you might have. We are 100% certain that we’ll use their services again the next time we come to Andalusia.

    Things couldn't have been better. Car was waiting for me when I left the airport and I was meet on time on return. I also had to make amendments to my booking whilst there as I needed extra days and this was done without any problems.

    This is the first time I'd used Dragon Cars and will definitely be using again. A much better service than that provided by the bigger airport hire companies which I have used many times before.  I am one very happy customer.
