The Pablo Picasso MuseumPicasso was born in Malaga and the museum is a tribute to the illustrious painter, sculptor, and artist who wished that his works should be displayed in his hometown. It was a result of the efforts of Christine and Bernard Ruiz Picasso who have also donated many of the artist’s works to the museum. The Museo Picasso Malaga project became a reality on 27 October 2003, when the centre was officially opened by King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain.

| There are three rooms dedicated to different artistic means of expression used by Picasso: ceramics, etchings and illustrated books. Picasso’s revolutionary innovations, and his wide range of styles, materials and techniques he used, are represented in the 155 works that initially form the collection. The selection of paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and prints includes the extraordinary breadth of Picasso’s prolific career, from his first academic studies to his neoclassical figures, his experiments in ceramics, including re-workings of Old Masters, to his late paintings in the 1970s.

Marine Centre Museum
The Marine Centre-Museum was created in 1989, following the initiative of a group of persons who loved the sea. The museum was started with the dual aims of educating people about the wealth of marine life of the region and creating awareness for the conservation and protection of the same. The centre is divided in two sections: the exhibition area on the ground floor; and the research, workshop and classroom area, on the upper floor.
| In the exhibition area, there are two rooms: one with the reconstructions of the sea bed with its rock faces and formations. There are also displays of the typical flora and fauna found on the floor of the sea.
| The Aquarium Room houses containers with species that have been systematically collected by the Museum, together with others that come from occasional contributions from local fishermen. The aquarium and live species area contains the Turtle Patio, where these animals in different phases of recovery are kept prior to their return to the sea. Other features are: the Shark and Ray Room, The Man and the Sea Room and The Invertebrates room. There is also a projection room with capacity for 50 persons.
The facilities are completed with a laboratory, library, multiple purpose room
The Marine Centre also provides other services, such as its Marine Club, courses on aquaculture and environment, as well as teacher training on marine aspects and their application in didactics, etc.

Doll’s House Museum
This museum is located in a charming Baroque building, and is Spain’s first miniature doll’s house museum. This private collection comprises over fifty hand-made, unique models, from the 19th century. Particularly outstanding is the 19th century Andalucian collection, as well as dolls from the middle of the century and a model freight train.
The houses on display run from the oldest exhibit, an 1850 Majorcan house, to a 1970 German dolls house. The exhibition is located on the first floor of the building, and on the ground floor there is a shop selling reproductions of the houses displayed. The third floor houses the workshop and offices.
