Car Hire Costa del Sol Terms

RATES INCLUDE:

CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) without excess
Tax**
PAI (Personal Accident Insurance)
Third Party Insurance (TPI)
Vehicle Theft Protection Insurance
Airport Service Fee
Unlimited Mileage

**IVA is calculated at 16% and is included in all rental prices quoted. If the rate of IVA changes this will be reflected on to the cost of the rental.

RATES DO NOT INCLUDE:
Tires, wheels, hubcaps, undercarriage, taxi (transportation), towing, interior of car, clutch, replacement keys, 500€ deposit if a replacement vehicle is needed, rear view and side mirrors.

All Minibuses have a 500 euro excess.

Bookings with Third parties/other suppliers:

In cases where we make a booking for the client with another supplier company, we assume that the client is fully aware of the T&C of the concerned company. We shall therefore take no responsibility for any discrepancies arising in the rental with the concerned company.

All refunds must be claimed directly from the Supplier NOT dragoncars.

Optional Insurances Available:

1.) Windows, Wheels and Tires:

FROM 1 DAY TO 6 DAYS: 20 Euros
FROM 7 DAYS TO 8 DAYS: 24 Euros
FROM 9 DAYS TO 28 DAYS: 3 Euros PER DAY WITH A MAXIMUM CHARGE OF 36 Euros
MORE THAN 28 DAYS: 60 Euros

If the customer declines this insurance, he will be liable for damages caused to windows, tires and wheels. Towing costs or any other expenses are not covered under this insurance. Hubcaps, replacement keys, replacement vehicle deposit, battery, motor, clutch, undercarriage, rear-view and side mirrors and the interior of the car will also not be covered under this insurance.

2.) Relax Insurance:
FROM 1 DAY TO 6 DAYS: 30 Euros
FROM 7 DAYS TO 28 DAYS: 5 Euros PER DAY WITH A MAXIMUM CHARGE OF 60 Euros
MORE THAN 28 DAYS: 90 Euros

Relax Insurance Package Covers:
FREE 24 hour Telephone Roadside Assistance, Wheels, Tires, Hubcaps, Windows, Side and Rear-view Mirrors, Undercarriage, Motor, Towing, Transportation (Taxi), Clutch, Battery, Copy of the key and delivery of the key to closest Goldcar office, and Exempt of 500 Euros deposit for replacement vehicle in case of accident or breakdown.
Personal items are not covered.

Your home insurance or holiday insurance must cover your personal items. If you do need to make a claim on your insurance you will be required to make an official statement at the National Police station where the incident happened.

If we have to allocate a car from a 3rd party it is the responsibility of the client renting the car to see to it that all necessary insurances are included on collection. At some locations extra charges may occur (subject to 3rd party's discretion) it is the client's responsibility to check for any discrepancies on the rental contract before signing it.
By signing the contract it means that you are automatically agreeing to the rental policies of the supplier.

Returns:
We allow one hour before and after time given as departure.
No reimbursement is made for rentals terminated before the date indicated in the reservation.

Late Returns:
If the car is returned later than one hour after time given as departure, an extra day will be charged, OR THE COST OF A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE FOR THE NEXT CLIENT.

Petrol:
Car comes with a full tank of petrol which must be paid for on arrival.
Car to be returned empty no refund for unused fuel. For rentals up to 3 days we can arrange for the car to be returned full. At some airport we can use smaller companies that allow you to return the petrol though the rentals are more expensive.

Roof Rack:
Roof racks can be supplied depending on the supplier used. Charges will be 3 € per day of the rental.

Extra Driver:

The price will be 2.5 Euros per driver per day with a maximum charge of 25 Euros per rental contract. The maximum of 3 additional drivers per rental contract will continue to be applied.

Baby/Booster Seat:
Baby Seat Booster Seats price will be 4.00 € per day with a maximum charge of 42 € per rental contract.
Baby/booster seats are subject to availability so must be booked well in advance.The type of seat needed is depending on the height and weight of the child. If you are not sure let us know the specifications of the type of seat you use back at your home so that we can request a similar one.

Payment:
Payment is made on arrival and must be made by credit card and NOT a debit card. The holder of the credit card must be present and added to the rental contract.
Prices quoted in Sterling Pound(£) are only a guide line and are calculated from Euros on a daily basis. Payment will be made on arrival in Euros(€)

Several companies on the internet advertise full insurance and no excess but check terms and conditions and you will find several items not included!!

When using national companies that have office inside the terminal a premier location tax will be added of 5 €, such companies as Avis - Hertz - EuropCar - Alamo- Sixt etc.

All cancellations need to be made and confirmed with us in writing 48 hrs before arrival. All cancellations within 7 days of arrival will have an Administration Charge.

One-Way Rentals:
We will charge 30.00 € for all one-way rentals.

Cross Border Policy:

If clients wish to take the car to the south of France or Andorra (only clients who arrive at Gerona or Rues airport) we allow them to do so, but we will charge the clients an additional insurance of 8.00 Euros per day with a maximum charge of 50 Euros per rental. If clients wish to take the car to Portugal or Gibraltar (only for clients who arrive at Almeria, Granada, Malaga, Jerez or Seville airport) we allow them to do so, but we will charge the clients an additional insurance of 8.00 Euros per day with a maximum charge of 50 Euros per rental.

Clients will be allowed to take their cars from Majorca to other Balearic Islands but they will be charged an additional insurance of 8.00 Euros per day with a maximum charge of 50 Euros per rental.

Please note that all the above additional insurance charges apply to the entire rental periods, not just to the days when cars are taken to other countries or islands.
