Manilva is a municipality which lies on the coast at the southwesternmost edge of the Spanish province of Malaga on its border with the province of Cadiz in southern Andalucia, Spain.
It is 97 kilometres from the city of Malaga and 35 from Gibraltar.
The landscape consists of small hills separated by small rivers and valleys with a large karst limestone ridge lying behind the town itself. There are three main centres of population, these being the main town of Manilva which is approx. 2 km inland; the coastal village of San Luis de Sabinillas (referred to as Sabinillas); and the small fishing village of Castillo de la Duquesa (referred to as Castillo) about 1.75 km to the west.

2 & it has population about 7,500.
Getting there:
From any point on the Costa del Sol, take the Mediterranean expressway towards Cadiz. Beginning at Estepona there are two options: either continue on the aforementioned AP-7 expressway, or else get onto the old coastal highway N-340. In either case, the signs for Manilva will leave no doubt, but you must take the A-377. The village is very close to the coast and halfway between the two aforementioned routes.

La Cala de la Sardina - La Cala de la Sardina is one of the most tranquil and least crowded beaches along the seven kilometres of Manilva coastline, and is an ideal place to fish from.
