The municipality of Jubrique extends through the eastern slopes of the lower Genal, in the southern part of the Ronda Mountain region. The town itself is typical of other mountain towns in the area, with steep, winding streets, low whitewashed houses and a number of old historical buildings. In Jubrique, there are some very interesting works of religious architecture, telling us, at the same time, something about the history of the place.
The municipality is situated approximately 38 km from Ronda and 105 from the Malaga capital. It has a population of approximately 800 residents. The natives in this village are called Jubriquenos.
Getting there:
Go to Estepona on the AP-7 (N-340) and take the A-557 to Jubrique. This is a regional road with very curvy stretches but in compensation it provides truly incomparable scenery. If you are coming from Ronda, take the A-376 and immediately afterward the A-369 to Algatocin, where the MA-536 begins and which will take you to Jubrique.
