The gear lever in the dash and the central speed takes some getting used to, but become surprisingly comfortable to use. Everything is placed within arms reach of the driver, making it an ultra user-friendly cabin. Driver gets excellent all-round visibility, thanks to large glass areas and a commanding driving position. Even with the seats set this far back, there's still as much luggage space (430 litres) behind them as you'd find in a Mercedes C-class, or 540 litres if you click them forward a notch. |

Look beyond the unusual body shape and the Multipla makes sense. The petrol 1.6 is sprightly, but the Jtd is more powerful and economical. Unlike most MPVs luggage capacity is retained even with six people aboard. Too wacky for some people, it offers excellent ergonomics, is painless to drive and is excellent value for money. |

All the cars in the fleet are usually less than six months old.
